Congratulations to Jordan winning 3 events with 3 meet records at the Needham Indoor Youth Classic
Jordan won 55m Hurdles in 8.10, 200m in 23.31 and 400m in 53.20. All three victories were Intermediate Boy meet records. He also came in second in the 55m.
Other Jet victories were: Davonte in 55m and 200m, Spikey in 200m, 400m, Peyton in 200m (33.10, tied meet record), Juila in 55m Hurdles, 4x200 Meter Relay Bantam Boys, 4x200 Meter Relay Youth Boys, and 4x200 Meter Relay Intermediate Girls (Emma, Sereena, Camille, and Spikey) ran 1:50.22 setting a meet record. AAU Outdoor National Jr. Olympic Championships
August 1-6 2011, New Orleans
She was also 4th in the Triathalon and Davonte was 5th in the Sub-Midget 100m
Alexis and Maya W. are selected Athletes of the Meet
at the Needham Youth Classic Meet
Cambridge Jets had a small yet strong showing at the Needham Youth Classic on July 15-16. Maya W. won the 50m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 50mH and the Long Jump with a new meet record. Alexis D. won 50m, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump and Triple Jump with a new meet record. Jordan S. won the 100mH, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Standing Long Jump. Spikey F. won the 400m and 300m setting a new meet record. Kaori T. and Kayla
L-G also had strong performances.
Cambridge Jets win 7 National Champion Titles in Chicago at the USATF Indoor Youth Nationals
Victories included gold medals in the girls' youth 4 x 200m relay (1:46.41) and 4 x 400m relay (4:12.25). Both relays include: Spikey, Maya, Camille and Sydney. Other golds include Spikey in the youth girls 400m (1:01.13), Maya in the youth girls 800m (2:22.67)
, Sydney in the youth girls 55m (7.43) and 200m (26.53), Bryon in the intermediate boys' 55m (6.89). Bryon also earned a bronze in the 400m and Jordan brought home a bronze in the intermediate boys' triple jump and 5th place in the 55m hurdles! Since this is the first time that the USATF has held an indoor national championship, these winning times are National Records. These are truly performances to be proud of, and are indicative of GREAT coaching and very hard work on the part of the kids.

Volunteers Needed!
The Jets are hosting the March 4 meet. So parents must help supply the manpower to run the meet and sell consessions.
During practice there will be sign up sheets to volunteer and donate goods for the consession stand.
All families are expected to help out.
Thanks for your help!
Indoor Season Practice times:
Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 at Harvard's Indoor Track.
Do not enter the track before practice time.
